HyperScan by Mattel – Worst Console Ever

The Mattel HyperScan is a console released in 2006 during the same era as the Wii, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. It was a unique console that only outputted standard definition video. It also included an RF ID scanner so that players could scan cards into the game which was a critical component to the games on the platform. Unfortunately the console failed and was discontinued roughly 1 year after launch. During its lifecycle only 5 games were released.

The Worst Ever series takes a look at the worst games and consoles ever to be released. These range from full fledged console releases with their own unique gaming library to more recent cash grabs through clone hardware. If you see it in this series, it really is THE WORST EVER.
